Each tile has a handle

Instructor, point out the handles.

There is an area on the left end of each tile containing a large number of dots.

This is a handle.

The handle is where you grab a tile with the mouse in order to drag it. 

Sometimes you can drag a tile by grabbing it somewhere other than at the handle.

It is probably a good idea to use the handle.
